techFX reflow 3.0 controller with PID control!

The Reflow controller that can handle the heat! Good upto 85 deg Celsius with a High Tg PCB!

Now with 12 bit A2D and more user IO than before! Now supporting profile lengths up to 2 days! Great for drying components, and curing composite materials.

The newly revised controller to transform your donor toaster oven into an SMD reflow oven. Control upto 500 deg Celsius ovens using ramp profiles and excel spreadsheets using techFX tools which comes free with all reflow controllers! With this controller you can do multilayer boards without burning them, double-sided surface mount components using the same temp solder paste for both sides, and safely reflow the boards several times without burning them! This controller is your in-home SMD reflow solution. Also ideal for low volume assembly.

  • upto 500 deg Celsius temp control
  • firmware PID control
  • standalone control from keypad and LCD interface or use computer with free software
  • create ramp profiles (standalone or computer) or spreadsheet using computer control
  • AD597 K-type thermocouple amplifier
  • Both oven relay and fan relay outputs for driving system both directions!
  • mini-USB connector to control via software
User optional LCD and Keypad

  • I2C standalone LCD and keypad interface already implemented in software!
    • I2C interface for LCD display (Matrix Orbital LK204-25 supported in our software, No Coding LCD solution with this display!
    • keypad interface via above LCD availabel from Matrix Orbital connects to that LCD
  • Serial LCD via user supported code (user added code)
    • Serial interface for cheaper serial displays

With techFX reflow tools, you can create ramp profiles fast and easily and program them to your controller. View realtime data as your oven bakes your boards. Change PID algorithm gains, and setup a keypad for use on the controller all in an easy to use interface. You can also save and print out graphs of your response curves.

Now supporting excel *.XLS spreadsheets also! Along with your computer create custom profiles to your liking!

    proof of concept

Here is a 44 pin TQFP and a microSD card slot that was done using the techFX reflow controller and a Black and Decker Infrawave toaster oven.

Checkout our reflow process on a double-sided SMD PCB!

You can interface to the controller with the USB port, or use it standalone with a LCD and keypad. Using techFX tools, you can store and use ramp profiles quickly and easily. Use excel spreadsheet profiles from your computer!
